12v Regulator
£10 incl vat
|
12v In-Line DC Regulator for bike/car/Quad etc
Many people hard wire equipment to the vehicle battery, however this will, over a period of time destroy the bullet cameras as whilst they have a tolerance of 8-15volts, they require a regulated voltage and not 'spiked power'.
If you want to connect your camera to a vehicles 12/24v battery then you will need to regulate the voltage going in to the camera. This regulator has solder tipped bare wires on the input side and a 2.1mm DC plug on the output side. It is advisable to use an in-line fuse if connecting directly to a vehicle battery.
Input 12-32v
Output 12v
Please note: Connecting a bullet camera to a vehicle battery may result in 'noise/ interference' on the recorded videoe. This regulator is designed to stop damage to the bullet camera, however the removal of the interference cannot be guaranteed.
Some motorbikes produce the interference due to the ignition system, other bikes do not. Unfortunately we cannot be held responsible for any interference caused by connecting the cameras to the bike battery.
Tip: If you do experience any interference on the video, try using a ferrite around the Av leads of the camcorder. Most camcorders are supplied with these, if not, we can supply them. The problem also seems to be eradicated if powering from somewhere like the rear lights etc, rather than directly from the battery terminals |

5v Regulator
£15 incl vat |
Power for your recorder
Most digital recorders such as the obvsdv500, pv800 and archos systems take a 5v supply to power them. You can use this cable to run these devices from any 12v supply including our rechargeable battery packs or directly from a vehicle battery either in conjunction with the above In-Line regulator or by cutting the end off and wiring directly to the battery as above.
Record all day long without having to worry about changing batteries or the batteries failing just when you need them most!
